The biggest communication fest in the country

Fest O'Comm or Festival of Communication has the distinction of being the largest on-campus communication festival in India. Since its genesis in the millennium year, Fest O' Comm or FOC is the annual magnum opus of SIMC. True to its name, the event brings out the vibrancy of the field of communication. A seamless melange of seminars and cultural events usher in a novel concept of student festivals that encompasses interactive learning with entertainment.

Born with much the same ideals as its sister initiative Footprints, FOC has evolved with the burgeoning changes that have characterized the landscape of media and communication in the country. It has become the perfect interface between the industry and aspiring professionals and has established the leadership of SIMC within the communication fraternity generating a creative space for the interaction of budding media professionals.”

An enterprise of the senior batch of SIMC students, FOC transform them into veritable apprentices of the industry during the gruelling months of preparation. Over the years, the indisputable testimony of their success is the presence of luminaries who have graced the event as speakers. Close to 200 renowned personalities like R.K. Lakshman, Prannoy Roy, Mark Tully, Subhash Ghai, Mani Ratnam and Gulzar have inspired students with the wealth of their knowledge and insights into the intriguing career that lies ahead of them.
